Bob & Tanya Liberman, your hosts at the Inn at Lewis Bay, welcome you to their bed and breakfast lodging on Cape Cod.
The first thing people ask us is why did you become an Innkeeper?
I had been touring with musical groups and acts for over 15 years (Jimmy Buffett, Bob Dylan, Damn Yankees, Ted Nugent, American Gladiators, Faith no More), and Tanya was with the Russian Circus for almost 5 years (which is where we met each other, I was the tour manager for the group). After touring with musical groups and the Circus, my wife Tanya and I didn’t know what we wanted to do while settling down and to raise a family.
I mean, how do you follow up after the kinds of whirlwind jobs we both had?
I had been staying in hotels for decades, as was Tanya, so we both decided that running a bed and breakfast was something we both probably knew all about, plus we both liked socializing and meeting new people. Our first venture into the business was a 13-room Victorian mansion in Rutland, Vermont (outside of Killington ski area), where we stayed for 7 years and had our first child, Nicholas. Then we decided to sell the Inn at Rutland and move across the border to New Hampshire. We purchased a 12-room lodge on Lake Sunapee, across from Sunapee Ski Resort, and had a 4-season resort. We stayed there for 3 years, had our daughter Sasha, and decided to move out of the great white north to Florida.
I became a realtor, and Tanya flew for Delta Airlines as an international Flight Attendant to Moscow, Russia. We stayed in Florida, moved to Georgia for 3 more years, and decided it was time to get back into the bed and breakfast business. We picked Inn at Lewis Bay, our Cape Cod cottage B&B, because of its great Mid-Cape location, the opportunities for tourism in and around West Yarmouth, and its proximity to Boston, where Tanya still could fly with Delta.
We are looking forward to providing our guests the same great service they have come to expect at the Inn at Lewis Bay. We can’t wait to see you soon!
